2024 Employment law changes – What does this mean for your business?

As a business and employer, do you have concerns or questions about the impact of government changes to employment law? Are you aware of how these changes could impact your business?

The new Labour government promised in their manifesto, radical change and reform of employment law, within their first 100 days.  This workshop will cover an in-depth review of the forthcoming changes that are relevant to SMEs in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Areas of change expected to cover, include:
· Unfair dismissal
· Sick pay
· Zero hours contracts
· Strengthening family friendly rights including maternity, paternity, parental leave and bereavement leave
· Right to ‘switch off’
· National Living Wage
· Fire and rehire process
· Employment status 
· Extending the period to bring a tribunal claim 
· Greater equality at work through strengthening harassment laws.

During this two-hour update, we’ll share the changes with you, understand what it means for your business, help you to develop an action plan and answer your questions.
