Join the HEY Growth Hub for this free and informative breakfast event at Humber Business Week 2025.
There are over 1,700 manufacturers in Hull and East Yorkshire, making the sector one of the more important in the region. It is well known that manufacturers thrive on efficient operations and processes, and demand strong leadership and effective teams.
However, are there lessons that can be shared with non-manufacturing firms? What are the secrets of success in the world of manufacturing? Can we help the growth of other businesses by sharing insights from our regional manufacturers?
Join us for “Why Would I Want to Learn from a Manufacturing Firm” as we answer all of the above questions!
This event is ideally aimed at business owners, leaders, and managers of non-manufacturing businesses; however, all are welcome.

This workshop is tailored specifically for manufacturers to explore application of digital prototyping.
Digital Prototyping goes beyond creating product designs in 3D. It allows product development teams to assess the operation of moving parts, determine potential failures, and see how various components interact with subsystems. By simulating and validating the real-world performance of a product design digitally, manufacturers can reduce the number of physical prototypes needed, thus saving costs and time.
So, if you are struggling to choose the right prototyping method for your next product, then this workshop has been created to assist you in moving forward. The first session will be led by Nathan Gilbert, Director @ TechSyle Europe, who will explore with you the pros and cons of each method used, providing real-world product examples to prove insider tips to reduce cost and lead time. This introduction will be followed by a session by Dr Brian Houston, the University of Hull’s Aura Innovation Centre.
