Goole Business Centre welcomes new café serving local Yorkshire produce

The RaisE Business Centre in Goole, owned and operated by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, has welcomed a local business, Corgi & Cream, as its new on-site café tenant.

Corgi & Cream is serving freshly prepared food for businesses, visitors and the wider Goole community, Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3pm.

Corgi & Cream will provide all the catering for events held at RaisE Business Centre, offering a convenient, high-quality food option for meetings, workshops and larger business events.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has been providing business accommodation since 1998, at facilities across the East Riding, including in Goole.  The centres offer office and workshop space for start-ups, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), on flexible lease terms. The centres allow businesses to adapt to changing needs, including downsizing or expanding without penalties. They can also use other centres within the portfolio or relocate by giving one month’s notice.

Councillor Anne Handley, East Riding of Yorkshire Council leader said

“It’s great to see a new local business come to the RaisE Business Centre. We are proud to support a business-friendly environment in our region and to support communities to thrive.”

Amanda Hoggart, Business Centre Manager, RaisE Business Centre, said:

“We’re really pleased to welcome Corgi & Cream to RaisE Business Centre. This is a fantastic addition for our tenants and visitors, and it also creates a new food destination for the wider community. Their focus on quality, value and local Yorkshire produce makes them a perfect fit for RaisE. We encourage businesses, visitors and local residents to stop by and give Corgi & Cream a warm welcome.”

Invest East Yorkshire are delighted to be supporting Metsä, a leading Finnish tissue paper manufacturer, to host a special community event that promises to shape the future of Goole.

Metsä has ambitious plans to invest hundreds of millions of pounds in Goole over the next decade, a move that is set to pave the way for the creation of thousands of job opportunities. To foster a deeper connection with the community, Metsä Tissue’s CEO, Esa Kaikkonen and Invest East Yorkshire, Inward Investment team are extending an invitation to all local businesses and residents.

Feast your eyes on the new cafe at RaisE

We are thrilled to announce that we have awarded the café contract at the RaisE Business Centre to a local Goole business.

Feast 78 is a family business, set up in 2020 by Lesley Lawton.

The business has been running from Lesley’s home, but will soon move into their new fully-fitted kitchen facility at the RaisE Business Centre.

Feast 78 will be offering breakfast, brunch, and lunches with desserts, cakes, hot and cold drinks, as well as daily specials. They will be providing a warm, friendly, and professional service, with everything available to eat in or take away.

They will continue to provide buffets for corporate, and private functions and will cater for meetings, conferences and events held within the business centre.

Once opened, the café will become the focal point when entering the building. This makes it easily accessible to tenants, passing trade from the local business community, and the wider public.

In the meantime, visit the Feast 78 website: www.feast78.com to find out more about the business.
