Humber Freeport Goole Tax Site

Ownership. Multiple Owners

Size. 494 Acres / 200 Hectares

Status. Freeport Tax Site

The Humber region was granted Freeport Tax Site Status in 2021, with a portfolio of 600 hectares of land comprising nearly 200 hectares in Goole. The Humber Freeport Goole Tax site is a large undeveloped site adjacent to the existing Enterprise Zone and benefits from the same excellent transport links.

There are several advantages to being inside a new tax zone. These zones are specifically there to attract new businesses and stimulate new investment into the area. Benefits include accelerated capital allowances, relief from stamp duty and land taxes, relief from business rates and employer’s National Insurance contributions for the first three years of being operational.

A Local Development Order is being granted for the site, which will enable investing businesses to benefit from a simpler planning process in order to reap the benefits of the Freeport Tax Site quicker. This process will create an overall masterplan which will allow businesses to see the potential opportunity and options for locating on this land.
