East Riding of Yorkshire Council Backs £10m Evolve Development at Melton West to Boost Business Growth

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has underlined its commitment to driving growth and investment in the region by supporting the completion of Evolve @ Melton West, a £10m development delivering 85,000 sq ft of sustainable business space.

The new scheme at Melton West business park was officially opened at a ceremony attended by Council Leader Cllr Anne Handley and Chief Executive Designate Paul Bellotti. Backed by council grant funding, Evolve provides high-quality units designed to help businesses grow and succeed, further strengthening the East Riding’s position as a premier location for investment.

Cllr Handley, who also serves as Portfolio Holder for Inward Investment, said:

“We’re pleased to have supported Wykeland Group to enable the creation of a development of such exceptional quality. Evolve significantly enhances opportunities for businesses looking to accelerate their growth and position themselves for future success. Melton West is one of the region’s premier business locations and a jewel in the crown of the East Riding’s investment offer.”

The development, delivered by Wykeland Group, comprises seven units ranging from 5,000 to 37,000 sq ft. One of the first tenants is Medequip, the UK’s leading provider of community equipment loan services, which has already occupied one of the larger units to service a major new contract.

Evolve has been built to the highest sustainability standards, with EPC A-ratings, solar panels, EV charging points, green living walls and natural light features, ensuring occupiers benefit from reduced running costs and future-proofed facilities.

Melton West continues to attract significant national and international investment, with global names including Amazon and Smith+Nephew committing hundreds of millions of pounds to new facilities. The Council’s support for Evolve adds a new dimension to this thriving commercial hub, enabling more businesses to join a community that is driving the East Riding’s economy forward.
